The client is a diversified agribusiness, with integrated operations spanning four continents. The client was looking for a better way to work, collaborate and connect within their global business and the best way to accomplish that was through AVD (Azure Virtual Desktop). cubesys took them through their signature AVD adoption process: Economic Plan, Technical Pilot, Production Readiness, providing confidence and support along with technical know-how at each step.
The Client
The client is a leading agribusiness and processing company that has partnered with growers and producers to connect them with domestic and international customers.
The Problem
The client was looking for a solution to replace their current aging Citrix infrastructure, reduce costs, increase performance and provide a better user experience, while meeting the demands of a seasonal business.
They had heard of AVD but were not sure how it could replace their current infrastructure and the path to achieve this. They also had concerns about the unknown, ongoing operational costs. Alongside this, there was a limited timeframe to transition with a large seasonal workforce due to return soon.
To remedy this, they partnered with cubesys, who was engaged to perform their signature AVD process to transform virtual desktops and applications. Next a technical pilot demonstrated the flexibility of the solution to meet the demands of a seasonal workforce and cleared the path to a production rollout.
The Solution
To start, cubesys completed a comprehensive assessment of their current environment. This helps build an economic model, assess their readiness to adopt AVD, and build a technical roadmap to implementation by addressing any legacy app concerns and validating the Azure requirements. cubesys’ unique economic plan provides confidence to businesses on their operational expenses and vital input the business case.
