Azure – A new version of the Log Analytics agent is available

imageMicrosoft has released a new version (Windows version 10.20.18029; Azure Extension version 1.0.18029) has been released.

If you have keep the automatic update enabled, it should be automatically updated.

It is important to note that this version adds support for SHA-2 code signing support which will be required by May 18, 2020.

If you are running the Monitoring Agent on ‘legacy’ OS version (Windows 7, 2008, 2008 R2 – which I remind you are out of support unless running on Azure), you will need to apply the documented actions here https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/azure-monitor/platform/log-analytics-agent#sha-2-code-signing-support-requirement-for-windows
