Azure – You can now view the carbon footprint of your Azure resources
As you know, sustainability and carbon footprint are now an important subject and companies are now looking to reduce it.
As you know, Azure provides a ping test to evaluate the availability of your endpoints through the use of Application Insights.
Well, the ping test is being upgraded and now called standard test and now provides ability to define the type of HTTP request (Get, Put, Head…) and get SSL health (aka expiration) notification.
The SSL certificate validity only works for https request and can notify if your certificate is going to expired in 1, 7 30, 90 or 365 days.
To start using the new standard test, connect to your Azure portal (https://portal.azure.com/) and access the Application Insight you want to configure.
Then go to the Availability blade to create a new standard test
And configure your test with the new options
