AWS – You can now run a MacOS on your EC2 instance

If you ever dreamed about running  MacOS on a cloud virtual machine (to be honest I don’t Smile), AWS just delivered to you an early Christmas gift.

You can now run a MacOS virtual machine on your EC2 instance.

This new capability is powered by Mac Mini (see https://www.apple.com/mac-mini/), running on Mac OS 10.4 (Mojave) or 10.15 (Catalina).

This new offer is currently available in the following region:

  • US East (N. Virginia)
  • US East (Ohio)
  • US West (Oregon)
  • Europe (Ireland)
  • Asia Pacific (Singapore)

The Mac OS instance can be bought on a pay-as-you-go or saving plans and must run for a minimum 24 h tenancy as running on a dedicated host.
